Organizations applying for exempt status under State of Florida chapter 196 legislation may include those organized and operated for the following purposes:

• Religious
• Literary
• Charitable
• Scientific
• Hospitals (Nursing Homes, Homes for Special Services, Homes for the Aged)

Please refer to Florida Statutes chapter 196 and the Application Form to see if your organization qualifies for any of these exemptions.
