All parcels in Volusia County are listed and
logged by their
Parcel Identification Number.
This number is a numerical code used for record storage that is unique to each parcel. It also serves as an abbreviation of the parcel's legal description.
Parcels in the same geographical area will have similar parcel
numbers. The first eight digits of parcels in the same subdivision
will have the exact same numbers. This "subgroup" of every 14 digit
parcel number is refered to as the "subdivision number"
